Abstract

The studies of azimuthal, Delta phi, and pseudo-rapidity, Delta eta, correlations of Lambda, (Lambda) over bar and K-S(0) triggers associated with unidentified charged hadrons in the transverse momentum range 1.5 <p(T) <6.0 GeV/c in d+Au and Au+Au collisions at root s(NN) = 200 GeV are presented. It is the first time that track-merging is considered in this type of analysis. The near-side correlation peak, within vertical bar Delta phi vertical bar <pi/2, vertical bar Delta eta vertical bar <2, is modified increasingly with centrality, broadening in Delta eta and sitting atop a longer range correlation in Delta eta. Jet widths extracted from near- side for h-h, Lambda-h, (Lambda) over bar -h and K-S(0)-h correlations for various p(T)(trig) intervals are analysed.
