Abstract

Recently, a new approach, called injection matching theory (IMT), for realizing Electrically Small Antennas (ESA) was reported. This approach was validated by means of port matching improvement through the measurements in an earlier publication. This contribution considers the radiated power from an injection matched antenna. Measurements demonstrate that injection matching significantly improves the radiation from an antenna significantly below its natural resonant frequency.
