Abstract
This study looks at the use of Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing of ER70S-6 to assess its use in offshore renewable energy structures. The literature has been examined to find all publicly available S-N datasets for the material which have been categorised into different surface finishes and orientations of specimens relative to the build direction. These have then been analysed via linear regression analysis and compared to DNV RP C203. This is a standard for the fatigue design of offshore structures and has been used to evaluate the suitability of ER70S-6 for use in the sector.
