Abstract
In this paper a narrowband third-order filter at 9 GHz with two transmission zeros is designed using the non-resonating node (NRN) method. The filter is fabricated using selective laser melting (SLM) technology. Without tuning, the measurements show promising results, but with a frequency shift and resonator detuning. Micro X-Ray CT imaging has been performed to investigate the imperfection in the manufacture. Dimension measurement of the structure show the level of dimension offset and some evidence of excessive shrinkage from the small iris structures.
