Abstract

On October 20 2015, the Grand Chamber of the European Court of Human Rights issued its Judgment in Vasilikiausas v Lithuania. This is a case that adds to the increasing jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights (E. Ct H.R.) that overlaps and/or adds to the law on international crimes; an area of law that has been the subject of significant academic interest. As with many of the cases on point, they relate to the early post-War era, but with a twist.
