Abstract

The Incoherent Target Decomposition Theorem (ICTD) has been largely used when dealing with the problem of classifying distributed targets by using Polarimetric Synthetic Aperture Radar (PolSAR) images. In this paper, a method based on the use of the ICTD and the nearest neighbour classifier is proposed and applied to man made point-like targets in an ISAR-like scenario. The algorithm is tested by using real data in several Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) scenarios.
