Abstract

In the title compound, [Ni(C₃H₇NO)₆](BF₄)₂, there are two independent [Ni(dmf)₆]²⁺ cations (dmf is N,N-dimethylformamide), each with a crystallographically imposed centre of symmetry. Hydrogen-bonding interactions between the cations and BF₄^- anions allow the formation of polymeric chains.
