Abstract
In the title compound, [Ni(C3H7NO)6](BF4)2, there are two independent [Ni(dmf)6]2+ cations (dmf is N,N-dimethylformamide), each with a crystallographically imposed centre of symmetry. Hydrogen-bonding interactions between the cations and BF4- anions allow the formation of polymeric chains.
