Abstract
In the present measurements a 12C target was bombarded by a 4He beam with energies from 14 to 21 MeV and the excitation function measurements for the reactions of the 12C(4He, 8Be)8Be, 12C(4He, 12C[7.65,0+])4He, and 12C(4He, 12C[9.64,3−])4He were obtained using an array of 6 double-sided silicon strip detectors. The excitation functions are used to gain an insight into possible α-cluster structures in 16O.
