Abstract

This paper gives a short summary of European science and funding policy in the area of hydrogen and fuel cells and describes the technology status of SOFC technology in Europe. In high temperature fuel cell technology, European companies and R&D groups have achieved a considerable level of success and established a firm European development basis.
