Abstract

A micro combined cooling, heating and power (CCHP) system is set up on the campus of Shanghai Jiaotong University, comprised of a gas engine, a generator, an adsorption chiller and a heat radiation floor. The data, acquired in experiments of summer and winter working conditions, are discussed by both first-law energy analysis and second-law exergy analysis. Further comparison of contemporary conventional separate of heating, cooling and power for local users shows the potential of energy saving by this novel CCHP system. Finally, the comparison results in optimization of the system and future critical improvement of certain parts in the CCHP system is pointed out.
