N2 - Signals transmitted by digital television-terrestrial (DTV-T) stations are analysed as a non-cooperative illuminator in bistatic radar. It is shown that the original DTV-T signal contains random and some deterministic components. The use of this signal for radar applications is studied on the basis of an ambiguity function (AF). Signal processing algorithms at the reception side are then proposed to improve the AF of the DTV-T signal.
