Abstract

The distribution function of nonuniversal current density fluctuations in the ensemble of disordered conductors is calculated using the results of renormalization group analysis of the extended nonlinear σ model. It is shown that there exists a crossover from the close-to-gaussian distribution with the logarithmically normal (LN) asymptotics in the region of weak localization to the completely LN distribution in the region where quantum corrections to conductivity become essential. A similar crossover is found in the distribution function of fluctuations of the local density of states.
