Abstract
In this paper, an Organic Rankine cycle system using medium and low-grade solar energy is established, and the net power output reaches 100 kW. An organic radial turbine is designed for the system. According to the CFD simulation results, there is little difference between the calculated value and the design value, thus the design of turbine in this paper meets the requirements. The flow state of the organic working fluid in the turbine is fine and no separating vortex exists in the turbine. The system designed in this paper can be applied in utilization of medium and low-grade solar energy, and it can provide guidance for practical uses in the near future.
