Abstract

Collected material of rare and new Vicia spp. was investigated from a cytotaxonomic point of view. Nineteen species were examined in total. The study includes 14 novel chromosome counts and measurements of DNA amount, as well as a comparison of chromosome morphology between species. The results of the cytological study support to an extent a recent taxonomical revision of subgenus Vicia.
