Abstract
Critical Theory (CT) is a major theoretical influence on CMS. CT can be organized into generations, reflecting shifts in the methods, approaches, diagnoses and contexts of its leading theorists. We explore the key ideas associated with the three Frankfurt School generations and how these ideas have been taken up within Critical Management Studies (CMS).
