Abstract
A disk-loaded monopole antenna array has been demonstrated, which uses a coplanar waveguide (CPW) feeding technique and has a capability of beam switching. The antenna is designed for 2.45 GHz ISM band for on-body communications or WLAN base station applications. It has a gain of 6.7 dBi, and the input return loss bandwidth is about 10%. The simulation and measurement results show a very good agreement.
