Abstract
Two views are presented in this paper. First, it is argued that conflict resolution does not offer an adequate panacea to interpersonal conflicts within organisations. What does offer a better solution is ‘managing’the conflict occurrence. Second, it is argued that the changing workplace brought about by globalisation brings about a different type of interpersonal conflict.
