Abstract

Transformations brought about through the implementation of innovative technologies for the construction industry have been discussed in this book, and this chapter highlights the main concluding remarks along with future perspectives on innovation in construction. The positive impacts of breakthrough technologies in terms of sustainability, productivity, health and safety, economic as well as workforce upskilling are discussed in depth; however, many practical bottlenecks are still unresolved including business models, commercial and contractual reform and a need for attitude change related to innovation in the sector.
