Abstract
Copper microstrip filters using spiral resonators, with a centre frequency of about 1 GRz and bandwidths of 5% and 16%, are designed and tested. Their advantages over parallel-coupled filters are smaller size and more convenient shape. The spirals alleviate deterioration in simulation accuracy, over-etch tolerance, and losses due to the size reduction. (C) 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
