Abstract

This chapter comments on Title V of the NPLs Directive, which covers Articles 24–26 that focus on establishing safeguards to ensure that borrowers have accessible, transparent, and effective channels for addressing complaints related to credit servicing activities. It also regulates personal data related to credit servicing and complaint-handling procedures. The chapter deals with compliance requirements in relation to the EU data protection regime. It also establishes guidelines for cooperation between competent authorities responsible for supervising credit servicers, with particular focus on cross-border cases.
