Abstract
It is possible to investigate most clinical problems on farms using a similar approach. In this article, which is orientated towards pigs, the description of the approach is detailed and will result in a careful, systematic clinical investigation. In practice, clinicians will use their experience and knowledge of a unit to help them move rapidly through some stages of the investigation.
