A heating stage was developed for a magnetic field mapping system (MagScan). As expected, on heating or a NdFeB sintered magnet, the average field strength above the magnet decreased with increasing temperature. It was seen that the field at the centre of the magnet began to decrease more rapidly than that at the edge and effects possibly due to inhomogeneities in the structure of the magnet could be observed.
