Abstract

This report presents the findings from a piece of research on the education and social inclusion of persons with visual impairments in Mali which was carried out in 2014-2015. The research was funded by Irish Aid as part of a larger programme on education and social inclusion in five West African countries. The study was conducted in collaboration with Sightsavers Mali Country Office, Sightsavers Global Office, the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique et Technologique (CNRST) in Bamako, and the Department of Disability, Inclusion and Special Needs (DISN) at the School of Education, University of Birmingham, UK.
