Abstract
Dead Man, First Cow, Meek’s Crossing and The Sisters Brothers remember the history of America differently, raising the probability of the United States having many pasts.
These include the past of Native American tribes, immigrant groups, women, and Black histories, all of which have lacked adequate and authentic representation in mainstream cinema, culture and politics.
