"By the members of IASH in recognition of his significant technical contributions and accomplishments related to aviation fuel thermal stability, chemistry and use. His research has improved the understanding of the complex thermal, flow and chemical processes which impact fuel thermal stability, and he has been instrumental in the technical evaluation and assessment of alternative aviation fuels. He has led and participated in many international fuel R&D programs and has mentored and instructed numerous students during his career."
