Zoe Schnepp’s research explores sustainable routes to functional nanomaterials. Using Green Chemistry principles, her group designs nanostructured materials based on simple methods and cheap and abundant precursors. There are many applications for these ideas but one particular area of focus is artificial photosynthesis: using sunlight to produce chemical fuels such as hydrogen or methanol.
