Biography

Rebecca Humphreys-Lamford (they/them) is a PhD researcher at the University of Birmingham. Their research interests surround queer studies, with a focus on asexuality. Their research has explored how asexuality has been represented on British television, questioning how asexuality emerged on television, and what (mis)understandings can be learnt from these representations. Their current research is funded by the AHRC, through Midlands4Cities, on a project surrounding asexual representations and impacts on asexual communities.
