Personal profile

Research interests

Dr Mohammad Reza Jalali is a numerical modelist in Hydrodynamics and Fluid Mechanics who has worked four years as a researcher of School of Mathematics and Statistics at the University of St Andrews. He joined IQ CliK project as a research fellow on 4th January 2022. His current research focuses on Optical atomic clocks. Optical atomic clock technology is on its way to become transportable device and replaces caesium atomic clocks which are currently used for network timing and synchronisation. In order to achieve this goal, researchers need an interface device that can convert the optical atomic clock signal into standard signal for network time transfer at an appropriate low-noise level. The interface between an optical atomic clock and timing network will be investigated during Dr Jalali Collaboration with IQ CLiK project.
