Research interests

My research interests are oriented towards the interface between language and music, specifically seeking to investigate the question of whether singing can be used to facilitate foreign language learning.

Biography

I am a Ph.D. student in Applied Linguistics at the University of Birmingham through the Distance Learning program.

I hold a BA in English, a minor in music, an MA in Linguistics, and a graduate certificate in Communication Sciences and Disorders, all from Florida International University. Currently, I work as a graduate writing consultant with the Center for Excellence in Writing at Florida International University, assisting graduate students with their academic writing, with a special focus on helping multilingual writers gain confidence and develop their authorial voices.
