PhD projects

Michail Antoniou’s research interests include bi- and multi-static radar systems, passive radar, imaging radar, and radar signal processing. He has carried out research and development of a compact Forward Scattering Radar (FSR) network for situational awareness in ground operations. He developed and tested the system prototype for a passive imaging radar using the Galileo satellites as transmitters and an airborne receiver. He has also conducted research on engineering infrastructure monitoring using passive radar systems.

Dr Antoniou is happy to supervise doctoral research in any of these areas. Examples of doctoral projects that he has supervised include:

Development of a passive bistatic imaging radar with Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) as transmitters and a fixed receiver
Coherent change detection using passive bistatic radar imagery
