Research interests
Michael Mansfield is an Assistant Professor in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in the School of Sport, Exercise and Rehabilitation Sciences at the University of Birmingham. Michael’s research interests include the assessment of nociception/pain and how this may influence or interact with function, disability and prognosis across a range of patient populations and diseases. Michael has experience and expertise in working collaboratively with external orthopaedic and musculoskeletal clinical partners developing a programme of research investigating health outcomes.
