Research interests

My research is placed within Critical Border Studies and more broadly within International Relations. My PhD research looks at refugee experiences of border violence along what is known as the Balkan Route through a necropolitical lens. More specifically I look at the themes of violence, death, trauma using using ethnographic methods including in depth unstructured interviews and documentary photography.
