Biography

BPharm (1999) from Dr MGR Medical University, India. MPhil (2006) and PhD (2009) from the University of Manchester. Later worked as a Research Associate then Research Fellow in Radiochemistry at the Wolfson Molecular Imaging Centre (WMIC), the University of Manchester.  CRUK Research Travel Fellowship was awarded to work at the Department of Radiology and Oncology, Johns Hopkins University, USA. In addition, I had worked at the R&D centres of Pharma and Medical diagnostic companies.

Currently working as a Research Fellow in Radiochemistry at the Department of Chemical Engineering.

Research interests

Radiochemist with strong experiences and interests in design, multi-step synthesis, purification, characterisation of organic compounds and radiotracers using Fluorine Chemistry (18F/19F) and other labelling strategies (11C, 68Ga, 124I, 123I, 99mTc, 13C) of bioactive and precursor compounds for Positron/Single-Photon/Magnetic Resonance imaging (PET/SPECT/MR) research.
