Dr Malika Hamadi is an Associate Professor in finance and is currently the Director of the PhD Finance Programme at Birmingham Business School. Malika holds a PhD in Economics from the Catholic University of Louvain in Belgium. She previously held posts at Surrey Business School, Leicester School of Business, the Department of Business and Economics - University of Sassari, Italy, and the Luxembourg School of Finance - University of Luxembourg. Her research is in Corporate Finance – Financial Intermediation– Microfinance/Financial Inclusion – Sustainable Finance – Climate Finance – Financial Technology - ESG – M&As. Her work has been published in leading journals such as the Journal of Money, Credit, and Banking, Journal of Corporate Finance, Journal of Banking, and Journal of Empirical Finance, among other journals.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
