PhD projects

A synthetic organic chemist, Liam and his team work at the interface of chemistry and the life and medical sciences, where they apply their molecular synthesis expertise to the synthesis of compounds for therapeutic applications and the design of tool compounds for probing biological systems. They are particularly interested in:

– Medicinal chemistry and drug discovery
– Biological chemistry and mechanism of action studies
– Glycolipids and their applications in iNKT-cell biology and immunology
– Antimicrobials
– Biomaterials
