Julia Lodge's main academic interests are in Microbiology and Molecular Biotechnology. She teaches microbiology, focusing on bacteria and their role in human health and disease.
One of her other interests is in innovative teaching methods designed to enhance the experience of learning for students and in particular in improving the quality of the feedback that students receive on their work.
Dr Lodge is a member of the Molecular Microbiology research theme within the School of Biosciences.
