Research interests

Jessy Williams is a doctoral researcher interested in social theory, digital and cultural geographies, critical psychiatry and philosophies of technology. Her thesis critically examines the changing technological landscape of mental health provision in the UK and young people’s practices and ‘therapeutic encounters’ with technologies such as smartphone apps, wearable devices and digital platforms that are designed to support mental health and wellbeing.
