I am an interdisciplinary researcher with a particular interest in knowledge exchange and landscapes. My research explores understandings and experience and their potential impacts on science and policy governing environmental landscape change. I have a particular interest in changing treescapes and my doctoral research explores these topics through the lens of Nature Based Solutions, in particular Natural Flood Management, engaging in hydrological modelling, GIS and data analysis. My work has direct implications for policy and practice and I am active in engaging in the practice of knowledge exchange across these spheres.
I am a Leverhulme Doctoral Scholar conducting interdisciplinary research in the Forest Edge program at BIFoR. A complex and unique career background and range of studies (from Physics to STS) bought me to the PhD program. I am passionate about landscapes and in particular fascinated by rural environments, trees, the movement of water through the landscape and both human and non-human agency. When not studying I can be found out and about with two very scruffy dogs.
