Personal profile

Research interests

My work is on ethics and interpersonal relations. I am interested several topics in this domain, including: the interpersonal basis of moral normativity, normative powers, practical reasoning, moral epistemology, and the aesthetics of interpersonal interaction. In connection with these themes, I am also interested in a number of figures from the history of philosophy, particularly Emmanuel Levinas, Martin Buber and Simone Weil.

In 2019 I completed my PhD in Sheffield on the topic of the practical significance of the second-person relation. I have spent time as a visiting researcher at Yale University, and the Center for Subjectivity Research at the University of Copenhagen.
