Research interests

Current research focuses on Hardy’s use of music and sound throughout the body of his writing, approached primarily from a biographical stance, examining how Hardy’s own life and experience influences his understanding and use of music and sound, and how his musicality develops and evolves throughout his life and the entirety of his work.
