PhD projects

Harry Evdorides’s main research interests are in highway asset management and engineering, including the structural evaluation of road pavements, the development of expert systems for pavement analysis and performance modelling, and pavement design for developing countries. He has participated in a number of research projects on topics including: investigation of the usage of finite elements for falling weight deflectometer data analysis; the Road Infrastructure Maintenance Evaluation Study (RIMES); ARMBUILD - Tempus TACIS programme; and road safety and road accident-related data analysis (TRACE and CCIS projects).

He has supervised doctoral research projects on topics including:

Road data reliability
Pavement design and performance prediction
Sustainable pavement management
Genetic algorithms and multi-criteria analysis for road works programming
Road cracking modelling
Road data collection strategies
