Hamid Dehghani's research is in the area of electromagnetic wave propagation within biological tissue and image reconstruction from physiological measurements. Specifically he is involved in the following projects:

Near Infrared Imaging for the detection and characterisation of breast cancer
Diffuse Optical Imaging of the human brain
Multi-Modality imaging techniques
