Biography
Ghnanand Beeharree (Jaysingh) is a Teaching-Focused Lecturer in Accounting at Birmingham Business School, University of Birmingham, with over 17 years of experience in higher education. A Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and a Certified Management & Business Educator (CMBE), he is recognised for his sustained leadership in inclusive pedagogy, curriculum innovation, and student success across accounting and business analytics programmes.
He leads and designs modules across both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including Academic Skills for Accounting and Finance, Managing Financial Resources, and Data Governance for the MSc in Business Analytics. His pedagogical practice is underpinned by constructive alignment and relational feedback models, with a strong focus on enhancing student engagement, employability, and belonging.
Beyond teaching and research, he has held several leadership and quality assurance roles, including Head Tutor for Year 2 undergraduates, External Examiner for the University of Essex Business School, and active contributor to programme development and accreditation initiatives within Birmingham Business School.
