Farrukh is Programme Director for Mechanical Engineering at Dubai campus and Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering. He is a member of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) UK and registered as a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council UK. Farrukh is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, UK. He is an enthusiastic professional with a diverse experience across a wide range of sectors including consulting, customer services, manufacturing, and higher education. Farrukh received his Ph.D. degree from the University of Manchester, UK. He worked as a Research Associate at the Mechanical Engineering department of the Petroleum institute UAE. Farrukh moved to University of Birmingham’s Dubai campus in 2018 and led the establishment of Mechanical Engineering programmes. Farrukh has published numerous peer reviewed journal articles and conference papers mainly in the field of mechanics and machining of fibrous composites.
