Dexter Hunt has undertaken research in the following areas: City Analysis Methodologies including aspects of urban metabolic studies in a context of enhanced resource security, one planet-low carbon living with enhanced wellbeing. Risk Analysis for a Pan-European Supergrid. Integration of Sustainability and Resilience into urban development processes - this includes such aspects as urban regeneration processes, Rainwater Harvesting and Greywater recycling systems, Energy systems, Sustainability Assessment, Whole Life Costing. The use of Future Urban Scenarios for Sustainable Resilient Infrastructure (and city) planning. Underground Ground Movements associated with multiple tunnel constructions in soft soils. In particular physical and numerical modelling using Finite Element Analysis.
