MBChB MRCP PhD
Clara graduated from the University of Birmingham with an Honours MBChB degree in 2007. Since starting training as a junior doctor in 2007 she has regularly published clinical based research. She started speciality training in Respiratory medicine in 2011 and in 2013 started work at the University of Birmingham as a clinical research fellow. During her research fellowship she contributed to research in COPD and Alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency in addition to completing a PhD looking at genetic and miRNA expression in the pulmonary endothelium in COPD and lung cancer. Her PhD was awarded in 2018. Since November 2018 she has started work as a clinical lecturer in the Institute of Inflammation and Ageing.
