Christopher Rogers leads the EPSRC-funded ‘Mapping the Underworld’ programme, which aims to develop a multi-sensor geophysical device to detect all buried utility services. His other research projects include:

Chemical improvement of clay soils in situ using electrokinetic processes
Solidification of contaminated soils using accelerated carbon technology
Electrokinetic treatment of liquid wastes
Stiffness of lime- and lime cement-stabilised capping layers
Installation of high voltage cables over long distances using trenchless techniques
