Research interests

I am an interdisciplinary palaeobiologist with educational backgrounds in Biotechnology (B.Sc., M.Sc.), Paleobiology (M.Sc.) and Earth Sciences (Ph.D.). My primary research has three foci: (i) Evolution and fossilisation pigments in exceptionally preserved vertebrates, (ii) functional morphology and biomechanics and (iii) application of machine learning methods to analyse palaeontological data. Having completed my PhD in 2022, my body of work includes four published papers and three more either in preprint form, under peer review or being actively developed as manuscripts. For my postdoctoral research, I wish to diversify my expertise and take on projects which integrate machine learning based algorithms with comparative anatomy, functional morphology and palaeoecology.
