Personal profile
Biography
I earned both my BA and MA at Purdue University. As an undergraduate, I became interested in the study of history, languages, and cultures. Studying abroad in Spain and in the Dominican Republic gave Spanish language and literature a special place in my heart. My graduate studies focused on colonial Latin America and were based on theories of otherness, travel writing, and colonial discourse.
