Personal profile

Research interests

I investigate how popular music consumption in Southeast Asian and Latin American “trigger cities” reflects and reshapes global–local cultural dynamics. My work examines the interplay between global consumer culture and local identities in the creative industries, highlighting the Global South’s role in influencing global music markets and cultural flows.

Biography

I am a Marketing PhD researcher at the University of Birmingham, bridging an interdisciplinary background in communication (advertising), music business, and global media. With degrees from the University of Indonesia, University of Miami, and LSE, I explore how popular music negotiates cultures, identities, and markets across diverse regions.
